Cisco Spark Board is an easy-to-use, touch-based, collaboration experience. It integrates the most common tools needed for team collaboration in physical meeting rooms into a single device.

Target audience - 18 to 30 years old, High School, College & University students.

We conducted a survey of 70 people to understand their experience of learning Art History. This was followed by in-depth interviews of 10 people. With the insights generated,  it was understood that Art History lessons should be made experiential, engaging and easy to remember.

Concrete Experience - Design an immersive experience in order to bring to life the subject being discussed.

Reflective Observation - Reflecting on the experience; Audio to text live - version, new information about the art piece .

Abstract Conceptualisation - Learning from experience; swipe to save notes.

Active Experimentation - Trying out what you learnt;  Fun ways to test learners and immediate test to reinforce knowledge.

The Art Club Journey

The Art Club is a platform where learners and experts come together to explore the magical world of Art History together.

When learners start their journey, they need to select courses of their choice for each module from several options available in the application.

During each lesson, learners can walk through the paintings, explore it and understand it better. They can save the content of each lecture and build instant flashcards.

At the end of each lesson a quiz is conducted. The quiz will help crystalize the learning and measure engagement during the lesson.

Feature One

Immersive Lessons

Lessons that involve the user’s sense of imagination. All 25 lessons in the curriculum will be conducted like this. The idea is to engage learners and maintain their focus. Immersive lessons will be used to help learners explore the paintings like never before.

Feature Two

Associative Imagery

This helps learners study effectively with flashcards. It can be created with just a swipe while the expert is explaining the painting. Assosoative imagery also helps learners in oragnising notes.

Feature Three

Game Based Evaluation

Tests that do not stress the learner but help them enjoy lessons and increase the recall value of the topic covered during that class. This will help them retain information and boost their learning.

Learnings

Developed an understanding of how technology can be leveraged to revolutionise the field of education. Apart from learning new software Adobe XD, I also had the opportunity to apply different ideation techniques and learn about their applications in various contexts. The project was done in a multi-lingual and multi-cultural team which helped me understand the importance and effectiveness of communication in team work.
